The Walter and Helen Fees Memorial Park is a small city park located at the northeast corner of US-54 and 2000th Street in Gas, Kansas. The property was donated to the City of Gas by the family of Walter and Helen Fees, and has been improved over the years with playground equipment, a shelter house, benches, a restroom and drinking fountains, a swinging bridge, and a short trail made of recycled tire material, which was made possible by a Waste Tire Management Grant from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Although the trail is only about a quarter mile in length, it is a safe and pleasant place for adults and children to walk and ride.
