Allen County Bike Share is a free program from Thrive Allen County that allows people to borrow bikes to explore the streets and trails of our communities.
To take a bike out for a spin, all you need to do is provide a picture ID, and sign a waiver form. Users must be 12 years of age or older. Bikes may be checked out by both residents and visitors.

You may be familiar with commercial bike share systems available in larger cities, which typically require users to rent by the hour, using a credit card, along with a network of docking stations and kiosks. Allen County Bike Share uses a simpler model more in character with small towns. It provides sturdy brightly-colored bicycles, which were sourced through our local bike shop, with generous funding from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas. The single-speed cruiser-style bikes are a great fit for the terrain in Allen County, and our network of bike-friendly streets and trails make it easy to get out and explore.
